what is jet cooling?
What is jet cooling? Complex part geometry causes thin die features or thick casting masses that create areas of excessive heat. These areas require jet cooling. Our CoreCool technology utilizes high-pressure water injected into small diameter fountains to provide precise thermal control of the problem areas.
CoreCool extends the life of INDUSTRIAL die CASTING COMPONENTs and reduces die maintenance.
CAST FASTER, CAST STRONGER
Some of the most complex and challenging casting issues arise from temper control issues. Soldering, Shrink Porosity, and Leaks, are sometimes difficult to solve. Our CoreCool systems simplify these issues and help you achieve a higher quality product at faster cycle times and higher precision and consistency.

Porosity – This is found when there are small voids, holes, or pockets of air that are found within the metal.
Shrinkage – Caused by different solidification rates within the casting.
Soldering – Soldering occurs during die casting process when molten aluminum “welds” to the die surface, resulting in damage to the die and in poor surface quality of the casting.
Leakers – Any area in the casting that has a poorly fused microstructure and won’t hold pressure.
CoreCool addresses all of these defects by precise internal cooling of INDUSTRIAL die CASTING COMPONENTS. resultING in a more densely fused microstructure.

The CoreCool System provides fully automatic control of die cooling by delivering pressurized water to exact locations utilizing small high flow bubblers. The exact amount of cooling is achieved and maintained by setting the desired pressure and cooling rates at the operator control panel.
